BABY BIRD - Kid Silk Halo Mini

Baby Bird is a dreamy, feather-light blend of 72% kid mohair and 28% mulberry silk, with a slightly higher silk content than many similar yarns. That extra silk gives it a gorgeous natural sheen, better drape, and a smooth, luxurious feel while still keeping that airy, floaty mohair halo everyone loves. It’s soft, gentle on the skin, and completely non-itchy—just light, cozy fluff with structure.

The mohair used in Baby Bird is certified by the Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS), which ensures high standards for animal welfare and responsible land management from farm to final production. It’s a yarn you can feel good about using, knowing care and transparency are part of its journey.

Each 25g mini skein is 1/8.4nm and contains 210 meters (230 yards), giving you plenty of yardage for fine, delicate work. It shines in lace patterns, airy garments, soft layering pieces, or held together with other yarns to add glow and texture without weight.

We work hard to keep our dye lots consistent and put a lot of care into every batch. That said, hand-dyed yarn can be a little unpredictable, and you might notice slight shifts in color from one batch to the next. It’s just part of the process—and part of what makes each skein feel special.
